Auto-detect embed is now a single static script tag
The auto-detect embed switched to CDN-side environment detection, fixing code that never ran on page load.
What shipped
- The auto-detect embed is now two static tags pointing at a new
/auto/CDN URL. The CDN decides per request whether to serve your staging or production build — staging onwebflow.io, production everywhere else. - Fixed: with the old auto-detect snippet, code that waited for the page to
finish loading (
DOMContentLoaded) could silently never run. Static tags load your code exactly like the staging and production embeds do, so this can't happen anymore. - CSS now loads via a regular stylesheet link instead of being added by script, removing a brief flash of unstyled content on page load.
Why it matters
If you use the auto-detect snippet, open the deploy panel and paste the updated embed code into your site — the old snippet keeps working the way it did before, so replacing it is what gets you the fix. New deploys generate the updated snippet automatically.
