AI Features

Inline code suggestions and quick AI editing in the Odyn editor.

Odyn includes two AI-powered features: inline suggestions and quick AI edit.

Inline Suggestions

Ghost-text completions appear as you type, powered by Mistral Codestral. Enable or disable in Editor Settings.

Accept a suggestion by pressing Tab. Dismiss by pressing Escape or continuing to type.

Quick AI Edit

Select code in the editor (minimum 10 characters).
Press Cmd+Shift+I or click the lightbulb icon.
Choose a predefined action or enter a custom instruction:
- Fix errors — Resolve detected issues in the selection.
- Add documentation — Insert comments and JSDoc.
- Simplify — Reduce complexity.
- Edit with AI — Free-form text prompt.
Review the suggested changes in a side-by-side diff.
Accept or reject the changes.

Context Awareness

AI receives the file type, coding style, surrounding code scope, and import context to produce relevant suggestions.
