File Management

Create, rename, move, and organize files and folders in the Odyn editor.

Create Files

Use the inline input in the file tree to create new files. Press Enter to confirm the file name. Nested paths like folder/subfolder/file.js create the full hierarchy automatically.

Rename Files

Select a file and press F2 or right-click and choose Rename. An inline input replaces the current name. Import paths in other project files update automatically.

Delete Files

Select a file and press Delete or Backspace, or right-click and choose Delete. A confirmation dialog appears before deletion.

Drag and Drop

Reorder files in the tree, move files into or out of folders, and drag files from the tree to a specific editor pane.

Tree order is also execution order for files that aren't imported by other files: in bundled builds, independent files run top-to-bottom through the tree, so keep setup files (plugin registration, global config) above the files that depend on them. See File Types and Bundling.

Folder Bundles

Mark a folder as a bundle via the context menu to produce a separate IIFE output for that folder's contents. See Deployment Modes for details.

Supported File Types

Buildable: .js, .jsx, .mjs, .cjs, .ts, .tsx, .css, .scss, .sass. Non-buildable types (.txt, .md, .json, .html, .svg) are stored but not included in builds. See Supported File Types for the full list.

Export

Download all project files as a .zip archive from the project settings menu.
